Nowadays, get yourself heard, get your music spread around the world is that easy really. You don’t need to have pro stuff or record in a studio, you can do your songs back at home and just upload them to some sites.
In my opinion, the best sites to promote a band/singer are:
- Youtube. Although it has many people trying the same thing as you, you can have a chance if you work hard (add people as friends, upload many videos,…).
- MySpace. It’s kinda the same as youtube in a matter of chances, but it’s a little easier because it’s all about music and not all sort of videos like youtube.
- Last.Fm. It is not as spread as those above, but the good thing is that it is useful. I mean, you can use it to listen to music and as a comunity.
- SellABand. The basis of it is: you upload your music, if people liked it they pay something to help you get a record deal.
- SliceThePie. This is good if you’re trying this for fun or just to know if people like your music. There, people review your music, but you can review music too and make money out of it.
